LandlordLedger is a property income and expense tracking application for UK landlords and their accountants. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our service.

2. What we collect

• Account data: your name, email address, and login credentials (managed by our authentication provider).
• Property and financial data: property addresses, rental income, expenses, receipts, and bank account details (sort code and account number) you enter.
• Usage data: aggregated, anonymised analytics about how you interact with the app.

3. How we use your data

• To provide the tracking, reporting, and accountant-sharing features you signed up for.
• To process subscription payments via our payment provider, Stripe. (Legacy subscriptions may have been processed via Base44 Payments, powered by Wix.)
• To send service-related emails such as trial reminders and billing receipts.
• To improve the product through aggregated analytics.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with: (a) your accountant, when you create a share link; (b) our payment processor (Stripe, and for legacy subscriptions Wix) for billing; and (c) our hosting and authentication providers, under their own data protection agreements.

5. Data security

Your data is stored securely with row-level access controls so that only you and users you authorise can see your records. Receipts you upload are stored privately. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

6. Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains stored until you request deletion. To permanently delete your data, contact us via the contact page.
